Wow, what a roller coaster this life has been. Especially in the last few months. I know that it comes as no surprise to you because you’re my person, you’re my girl! You’ve been watching, cheering, you’ve cringed when things have been hard, and - I hope - you’ve laughed when I’ve shown up as is, where is.
Truly, I thank you.
Because it hasn’t been easy, and *truthfully* it still isn’t easy. There are days when I would love to just hide under a pillow and cry, and I do still do that, for a few minutes ... hours.
And there have been days when I feel like this is the end. That all that I’ve done was for not and I will never get there again. Time to pack it in and call it quits. That I am not worthy of success.
And those days I know are lies.
Those hard days, the days when I’ve felt less than, worthless, incapable, a complete failure, those days are when I have to dig in and remember that it’s all lies.
And, girl, I know you have those days too.
Because we all do.
You don’t have to be under the threat of an insane lawsuit to feel like everything around you is crumbling. You don’t have to be going through the valley to feel alone. You don’t have to have the carpet ripped out from under you to feel like it’s all too much.
You may have a simple lie rumbling around in your brain telling you that you’re not enough. That you’re not worthy. That you deserve less than.
I don’t know where you are today and how you are feeling but I do know this.
You are valuable. Intrinsically. Wholly. You are more precious than gold, more vibrant than ruby. You are a treasure.
I want you to know, you are worthy. You are worthy.
If you’re struggling and you are at a point where you’ve been knocked down so many times you are beginning to doubt whether the light at the end of the tunnel is truly the end of the tunnel or stinking train ready to completely derail ... I want you to hold on to hope.
You are worthy.
Worthy of being chosen. Worthy of being fought for. Worthy of being loved. Worthy of success. Worthy of the truth. Worthy of security.
Worthy of happiness. Worthy of friendship.
Worthy of more.
You are worthy because you matter.
You matter to more people than you know, you matter in bigger ways than you could possibly comprehend, you matter in the little moments of quiet and the exciting moments of celebration. You matter to those closest to you and even those at a distance. Your life has significance.
You have inherent worth as woman, as a mother, as an image bearer of the Lord.
And no matter what any troll on the internet says, or what the enemy whispers in the vulnerable parts of your life, no matter what the circumstances are that surround you, none of that changes the fact that you are worthy.
And, my beautiful friend, I don’t want you to get this wrong. You are worthy right now. Right where you are. You are worthy because you are valuable.
You are worthy now, not just when you get a better job.
You are worthy now, not just when you lose the baby weight. You are worthy in your best and you are worthy in your worst. You are worthy because you exist.
Just as you are.
